New Leadership: More Freedom With The Right Talent, Is Profitable.

“Another Brick in The Wall” is a three-part composition on Pink Floyd 1979 Album the Wall, co-written by the band members Roger Waters and David Gilmour.

The song, particularly the third part

“We Don’t Need No Education, We Don’t Need No Thought Control.”

critiques the rigid and oppressive nature of the educational system.

Rogers felt that many schools stifled creativity and individuality, and that students were treated like numbers not humans.

It’s not surprising that the song was banned in some schools in the early 80s.

It feels like the song is having it’s comeback.

This time in the leadership landscape.

Employees don’t leaders anymore with authority who seem to know everything,

they don’t need rigid working hours and standardised jobs. And the lack of empathy.

Majority of rigid, repetitive jobs and more, are already performed with AI.

What employees want are human-centric leaders who inspire them and care about their development.

What employees want is a leader who cares about their individuality and don’t treat them like “another brick in the wall”.

And the best part for the organisations?

Increased bottom line, decreased earnings volatility.

Because lack of control is profitable.
